Creating, filling, deleting SQL tables

Creating SQL queries

You will become familiar with standard SQL functions, tools, and software

What will I be able to do after the training?

After this course, a person will learn how to create a system of relational tables in a database

Fill tables with data, select, manipulate and manage them

You will learn how to write queries, create/delete statements, interfaces, indexes, and commonly used standard functions.

  • Creating tables - CREATE statement;
  • Data types;
  • Primary key/foreign key, indexes, uniqueness;
  • Commenting on columns;
  • Filling tables - INSERT statements;
  • Deleting tables - TRUNCATE/DROP/DELETE statements;
  • Normalization rules;
  • The query statement is SELECT;
  • Connecting several tables - LEFT/RIGHT JOIN;
  • Primary key/foreign key;
  • Standard functions such as UPPER, LOWER, SUM, MAX, MIN, CASE, etc.;
  • Sorting/grouping functions ORDER BY/ GROUP BY;
